I was surprised and troubled when Donald Trump ran for president in 2015. Surprised because he ran on the conservative ticket and courted us “family values” evangelicals. Troubled because everyone embraced him without question with no regard for his personal or even political history.
He ran against an openly anti-Christian woman. My father often referred to the Clintons as Ahab and Jezebel. Yet Trump’s past bears a striking resemblance to Bill Clinton’s.
It bugged me how hypocritical it made us look. We call ourselves Christians after all. As the House of God, we are supposed to hold ourselves to higher standards than the party that does not make such claims. When we do something publicly in Jesus’ name it reflects badly on Him.
But it was Trump or Jezebel. I held my nose and voted for the former. Ironically it was Hilary who convinced me to vote for Trump. She promised to continue funding Planned Parenthood. Trump promised to defund it. I knew Hilary would keep her word. I did it for the babies.
He revealed an abrasive, boorish, childish attitude from the start. He ripped into Megan Kelly just for asking one or two questions he disliked, constantly mocking her and calling her names in public. He wouldn’t stop gloating either. This sickening behavior almost made me look into a third party or write in.
I shared this idea with a relative over Sunday dinner. She about lost her mind. “Why don’t you just vote for Hilary? Not voting for Trump is exactly the same.”
In the end I did what she and many other conservatives wanted. I voted for the lesser of two evils.
The media went crazy. I disliked Trump from the start—though I felt relieved when he won instead of Hilary. But the legacy media’s outcry against him was insane. And it extended to his followers too. This angered me when I noticed the Media’s brainwashed minions assaulting children wearing red baseball caps or putting up American flags.
All the “hate” I witnessed was on the opposite side. I began to wonder if Trump really were the man we needed. Things were looking up for the middle and lower middle class during the first three years of his presidency. Probably because he left the market alone. The best method of jobs creation.
The media constantly accused him of doing or saying things he never did or said. When Trump called them, “Fake news!” he was merely stating the obvious. We conservatives had endured their sneers, catty insults, and spins for decades now. Now they seemed to have rabies. We Trump supporters couldn’t help laughing at them.
It was as though Trump was a lightning rod attached to the top of a MAGA hat on an unwary victim. Lightning kept striking him—traveling straight down—and singing the wearer. (Us.) The rod was fine though. That’s what counted.
This reached a crisis in 2020. From the day lockdown was announced all the Media Minions (I don’t know how else to identify them since they have no 1 central leader or inspirational figure but parrot back whatever the talking heads on TV say and don’t even remember when they first started using words or slogans. Because they identify with the upper class somehow just by watching CNN each night, they come across as a pretentious bunch of social climbers.) began to gloat over how the lockdown would destroy “Trump’s economy.”
They rejoiced over the Covid lockdown and were happy about a pandemic because they wanted millions to become bankrupt and homeless. I had to put up with it over SM for months till I canceled FB and YT. I felt better soon after. Though the memory of the spiteful, vicious garbage put out still makes me burn.
These Media Minions kept urging us to kill ourselves by getting sick with Covid which they were certain was deadlier than the Bubonic Plague. (I had a bad variant and can assure you it was not as bad as the pneumonia I caught from my vaccinated dad in 2017 which we did not shut the world down over.)
To this day, conservatives are still furious at what they saw posted on anti-social media. Because the comments were disembodied and detached from any human traits it’s easy to attribute them to “yes, all libtards” and paint all Democrat voters with the same brush. Inaccurate and unjust of course.
At any rate, Trump did not suffer the way his supporters (and detractors) did. His haters wrongly thought the lockdown would hurt him. Losing the election of 2020 was nowhere near as bad as having your family business destroyed and your children becoming homeless.
Trump’s detractors refuse to admit that he fully supported the lockdown, masking, vaccines, and that he did everything Fauci wanted. I read one commenting on Quora that deaths from Covid were 10% higher in red areas because Trump told his followers not to wear masks since they showed a lack of manliness! Trump said no such thing.
A lot of conservative elderly people who stick to Fox News, Newsmax, and Facebook feeds for information wore masks, stayed home, and gladly took the Trump shots when they arrived. Without giving the rest of us the Cootie treatment. They kind of roll their eyes when I try to explain things to them. (Though that is lessening.) I can understand their support for Trump.
I cannot understand the cult like zealotry for the Father of the Vaccine in people who know about the NWO, who didn’t take the bioweapon and have seen how Trump did everything the globalists wanted in 2020. And don’t get me started on his pick for running mate. The J.D. Vance Project deserves its own series.
Trump got Roe versus Wade overturned, you say? Did he really plan on that? If he did it may have just been a way to stir up tempers and hysteria on the Left. Trump immediately started berating governors for outlawing or restricting abortions. “Ron Desanctimonious” ring a bell?
“How dare you! Trump almost died for you, you wretch!” scream his supporters. I’ve looked at the video and the blood looks strange. It appears suddenly after his security pushes him down. It just happens to trickle so his defiant scowl is fully visible as he rises to give a performance worthy of Braveheart. The wound on his ear cannot be seen beneath all the blood. Yet just a few days later there was no visible wound.
Aside from a computer image of a bullet going directly over Trump’s ear and leaving his head unscathed we have no view of the bullet. Shrapnel would have been more believable for that kind of wound. But drawn less buzz and sympathy.
There really were bullets at that rally. One man was killed. It’s those around Trump who keep taking bullets I notice.
Would I put it past Trump and his team to have real bullets fired that could kill people? No. Those are not the first Trump shots that have killed people.
Trump was never pro Life. It’s worth noting how his proudest achievement—Operation Warp Speed—has caused countless abortions and sterility.
It makes the most sense when seen as a tag team effort. Trump put out the clot shots but says he opposes mandates. Conveniently he never has to issue any because his successor takes over. Despite whining and bellyaching about how “The election was stolen from me!” (always about him) Trump did nothing to stop the mail in ballots or offer serious legal challenges before January 6 where a bunch of his staunch supporters got into big trouble.
I have said nothing about the other bad guy I will not support. We know everything she stands for. At least if she won, the populace would refuse to go along with the next big farce. Trump is another matter. They’ll do anything he says and absolve him for it. It was the bad advice he always took from the cabinet members and experts he chose to surround himself with and never fired. (We kept hoping he would reenact that part of The Apprentice. Nope.)
If he loses, I foresee a bloody civil war led by his idolatrous followers. Maybe after culling us, Mr. Global will select Trump, Vance and others to help “reset America” along with the rest of the world. Pod life in smart cities freedom cities. People will eat the bugs after a prolonged war has wiped out most farms and they are starving. Maybe they’ll eat them if Trump shows them how good they are on a video.
I have argued that Indiana is already locked down for Trump. “But you should still show your support.”
So, it’s more of a symbolic gesture akin to emperor worship when Rome was falling apart. Somehow my presidential vote—which doesn’t count because of the electoral college is arranged—will change things through good vibes generated by support. MAGA magic.
If you just want to vote for Trump or Harris, go ahead. But I’m sick of having my open support of that guy painted as a Christian duty. Too bad Doug Wilson, Al Mohler and all those other evangelists have not been promoting Christ Jesus and leading people to call Him Lord with half the zeal they have used in promoting their celebrity billionaire and leading people to call him our only Hope. “God can use anybody. They don’t have to be perfect.) As long as they are celebrity billionaires.
I guess political power and prosperity matter more than human souls. Nations are temporal. Souls are eternal. That’s why Christ died for souls.
Christ alone is Lord. I get angry at how the image of Trump keeps eclipsing His in the public eye. Jesus should be the face of Christian nationalism. His cross should be the rallying symbol. Why should the movement be handed over to a man who is not even a Christian?
One of the reasons America is under judgment from God. Sodium free salt.
I cannot in good conscience—knowing what I know—vote for either candidate this time. Either way we the American people—left or right—lose.
For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God… 1 Peter 4:17a

I tend to look at a politician’s policies. Trump is not America’s savior. If anything he’ll slow the destruction down but that’s it.
Trump has been immoral, yrs. But maybe coming very close to death is changing him. I don’t know.
Again I vote for policies not the person but there are too many who view Trump as America’s Cyrus. I simply don’t see it that way.
