When the governor announced a mask mandate, Brenda was triumphant. “Now you have to wear one,” she told her husband.
Kevin disliked it but obeyed the order. And it shut his wife up. When she started on something it was the emotional equivalent of waterboarding.
Soon he realized the mask wasn’t too bad after all. It proved extremely useful. For many things….
Kevin worked in an auto repair shop. When alone in the garage he often perspired. So, he’d take the mask off to wipe the sweat from his brow.
When his dust allergy got bad, he used the mask for a hanky. It also served as a napkin when they forgot to give him one with the fast food at the drive through. The mask also would work as a cleaning rag for tools.
On rare occasions—when Kevin washed his hands—the mask made a great towel. Indeed, that piece of cloth was quite versatile.
One weekend, Kevin offered to get groceries while Brenda stayed home and scoured every surface with bleach repeatedly.
“Be sure to buy another mask.”
“On the list.” Kevin held it up for her to see.
“Wonderful. I’m so proud of you honey. Looks like this pandemic has finally taught you the importance of good hygiene.”
As soon as he had gone out the door, Kevin whipped that mask out of his pocket. Then he used it to dig the wax out of his ears.
I am a Kevin and I hate the mask! However our cat Spunky loves to play with it.
The mask works as a slingshot , (providing you don't use a big rock)
My computer monitor is up on a stand and sometimes it tips over to one side a little so I look for something to shove under the one side to prop it up a little, hey, about 4 of those little things (2 under each side) does the trick! My monitor is level! (my neck isn't twisted anymore).
We have a fireplace and usually have enough kindling to get the fire going, but when we don't we frequently grab several Fauci Deluxe # 66 Germ & Virus-Fighting masks and ignite them little buggers! Gets the fire goin quick! Yes they come in handy and I also use one to hold my pennies, nickles and dimes (spare change) in!..... Yes I love the masks!
